We spent 4 months in China from around November 1984. Started in Hong Kong where we took a train to Guangzhou and then a river boat to Wenzhou followed by a bus to Yangshou.
We moved on to Guilin, then an appalling train trip to Kunming. A long side trip to Dali before returning to Kunming. Then a train to Emei Shan to climb the sacred mountain, a side trip to the giant Buddha at Leshan and on to Chengdu.
From Chengdu to Xian and then Beijing. Later we took a train to Shanghai and explored Hangzhou and Suzhou. Took a boat to Xiamen, then inland to Zhangzhou and by bus to Shantou. Finally a boat back to Guangzhou.
I'm trying to remember where the photos were taken 30 years ago; some I'm just not sure.
